2009 Season Review

The Colorado Rockies finished the 2009 regular season 92-70 for 2nd in the National League West behind the L.A. Dodgers. The Rockies were one of the hottest teams in the second half reminiscent of their 2007 run. The Rockies were an excellent home team, 51-30, and one of only 7 teams in the major leagues to win over 50 games at home.

2006 Preview

The Colorado Rookies suffered through a tough 95 loss season ending the year 15 games behind the NL West Champion San Diego Padres. The 2005 offense was led by 1st baseman Todd Helton (.320 20 79), outfielder Dustan Mohr (.214 17 38), and the young 3rd baseman Garrett Atkins (.287 13 89).

The Colorado Rockies are a Major League Baseball team based in Denver, Colorado. Established in 1991, they started play in 1993, the Rockies play in the West Division of the National League. The team is named after the Rocky Mountains, which pass through Colorado, just west of Denver. The Rockies play their home games at Coors Field in downtown Denver.

Following multiple losing seasons, the Rockies won the National League pennant for the first time in franchise history during the 2007 season. This team is notable for being perfect in Championship Series games (4-0).
