Dallas Cowboys Apparel Attends MNF in Buffalo
On a very nice October night in Buffalo, Dallas Cowboys Apparel team witnessed probably one of the biggest emotional roller coasters in NFL history. Although Tony Romo, Terrell Owens and the Dallas Cowboys special teams all had off nights (except of course for our kicker), the Cowboys stuck together as a team and found a way to win a true mark of a Championship team.
Terrell Owens Begins His Second Season With the Cowboys
Owens had a strong first season with the Cowboys, despite suffering an injury to his finger early in the season. An injured tendon to the same finger in a later game had doctors recommending season-ending surgery. Despite this Owens elected to risk permanent damage to his finger and continued to play, electing for post-season surgery. Despite his injury and other incidents in the year Owens led the league in regular season touchdowns. Following the season he had surgeries to repair the injured right, ring finger.
A New Start for Dallas Cowboys Football Coach Wade Phillips at the Helm 2007
On February 8, 2007, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced that Wade Phillips would be taking over as the Dallas Cowboys head coach. A native of Texas, Phillips attended the University of Houston where he spent three years as a starter at linebacker. His coaching career began with the Houston Oilers where he held the position of defensive line coach under head coach O.A. Bum Phillips, his father.
The Dallas Cowboys Jump Out to a Great Start
The Dallas Cowboys started off the 2007 season by winning at home against the New York Giants 45-35. The high scoring game finished with six touchdowns and 478 yards for the Cowboys. Tony Romo threw four touchdown passes averaging 23 yards on his 15 completions. On the other side, the New York Giants posted four touchdowns and 448 yards. It was a game in which the offenses ruled.
The Dallas Cowboys are a professionalfootball team that plays in the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). They are headquartered in Valley Ranch in Irving, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. The team plays its home games at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which finished construction in time for the 2009 season. The Cowboys joined the NFL as a 1960 expansion team. The team's national following might best be represented by its NFL record of consecutive games in front of sold-out stadiums. The Cowboys' streak of 160 sold-out regular and post-season games began in 1990, and included 79 straight sellouts at their former home, Texas Stadium, and 81 straight sell-outs on the road. The franchise holds the record for most Super Bowl appearances (8), corresponding to most NFC championships (8). The Cowboys are the only NFL team to record 20 consecutive winning seasons (1966–1985), in which they only missed the playoffs twice (1974 and 1984), an NFL record that remains unbroken and unchallenged. It remains one of the longest winning streaks in all of professional sports. As of the 2009 season, the Cowboys have the highest winning percentage of any active NFL franchise (.580).
An article from Forbes Magazine, dated September 2, 2009, lists the Cowboys as the highest valued sports franchise in the history of the United States, and second in the world (behind the United Kingdom's Manchester United), with an estimated value of approximately $1.65 billion, above the Washington Redskins ($1.5 billion) and the New England Patriots ($1.361 billion). They are also the wealthiest team in the NFL, generating almost $269 million in annual revenue.
