Arctic Monkey: Fake Tales of San Francisco

Video for the Arctic Monkeys single Fake Tales Of San Francisco. Arctic Monkeys are a four-piece indie rock/post-punk revival band from High Green, a suburb of Sheffield, England. Their first two singles, I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor and When the Sun Goes Down, both went straight to number one in the UK Singles Chart, and the band's debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, holds the record for the largest first week sales of a debut album in UK history [1] and won the 2006 Mercury Prize. The band won Best New Act at the 2006 Brit Awards, and became the first band to win NME Awards for Best New Band and Best British Band in the same year. Originally established in 2002, the band currently consists of Alex Turner on lead vocals and guitar, Jamie Cook playing rhythm guitar, Matt Helders on drums and backing vocals and Nick O'Malley, bass guitarist (formerly Andy Nicholson).

Archie Bronson Outfit: Cherry Lips

Brand new Video from Archie Bronson Outfit! Bred in Wiltshire, it took relocation to southwest London for the dirty psychedelic blues-rock of singer/guitarist Sam Windett, bassist Dorian Hobday, and drummer Mark Cleveland -- aka Archie Bronson Outfit -- to be discovered. Moving to attend art school (studying, incidentally, alongside future members of the Duke Spirit and the Beatings), the rock trio was randomly discovered one night by the president of Domino Records at his favorite local pub, The Cat's Back. The band was signed to the label by August 2003, and its well-received debut, Fur, was issued the following summer. Gigging continued in support of the record, including a handful of U.K. support dates for the Black Keys in fall 2004. The guys followed up in March 2006 with their sophomore effort, Derdang Derdang, produced by Jacquire King (Tom Waits, Kings of Leon) and recorded in Nashville, TN. The album was issued in the United States that July, as Archie Bronson Outfit were nominated back home for Best New Act on the 2006 MOJO Honours List.

Adem: Launch Yourself

New video for Adem's track Launch Yourself taken from his second album Love and Other Planets. Adem is the solo project of Fridge bassist, Adem Ilhan. Despite Fridge's post-rock tendencies, Adem specialises in downbeat acoustic songwriting, utilising his knowledge of post-rock to give his folk-ish songs interesting and unexpected idiosyncrasies. Adem admits never having sung before 2002, though when his debut album Adem - Homesongs was released in 2004 it received widespread critical acclaim as much for his voice as for the tales he tells and his way with melody.

Clinic: Harvest

Psapp: Tricycle

Psapps video for new single Tricycle. The English indie rock duo Psapp (pronounced sap) feature Carim Clasmann (guitar/producer) and Galia Durant (vocals/keyboards/violins). Together they create a charming pop mix of sultry vocals and quirky electronic beats. Tiger, My Friend marked Psapp's album debut for Leaf in 2004. Two years later, Psapp jumped ship to Domino (Franz Ferdinand, the Arctic Monkeys, Clearlake) for the release of their second album. The Only Thing I Ever Wanted arrived in June 2006, highlighting a more focused design to Psapp's friendly, creative energy. Stateside dates with Juana Molina and Jose Gonzalez coincided with its release that summer. Psapp ventured into the land of television in late 2005; their song Cosy in the Rocket is the theme song for the ABC drama Grey's Anatomy. Their songs have also appeared in selected episodes of The O.C. and Nip/Tuck.

The Best Safari Company?

Many safari companies are advertising on the Internet and are all claiming to be the best, delivering unique safaris, off the beaten track. Cool Movie Quotes

Trailers Trashed: Children of Men

Children of Men envisages a world one generation from now that has fallen into anarchy on the heels of an infertility defect in the population. The world's youngest citizen has just died at 18, and humankind is facing the likelihood of its own extinction. Set against a backdrop of London torn apart by violence and warring nationalistic sects, Children of Men follows an unlikely champion of Earth's survival: Theo (Owen), a disillusioned ex-activist turned bureaucrat, who is forced to face his own demons and protect the planet's last remaining hope.

Trailers Trashed: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

On one last road trip before they're sent to serve in Vietnam, two friends (Handley and Bomer) and their girlfriends (Baird and Brewster) get into an accident that calls their local sheriff (Ermey) to the scene. Thus begins a terrifying experience where the teens are taken to a secluded house of horrors, where a young, would-be killer is being nurtured.

Hollywoodland: Diane Lane Interview

Diane Lane is interviewed by Chuck the Movieguy for the movie Hollywoodland. Hollywoodland is a uniquely compelling exploration of fame and identity, inspired by one of Hollywood's most infamous real-life mysteries. The film is the feature directorial debut for Allen Coulter (Emmy and DGA Award nominee for his work on The Sopranos and Sex and the City). June 16, 1959. The glamour of Tinseltown permanently fades for actor George Reeves, the heroic Man of Steel on TV's Adventures of Superman, as the actor dies in his Hollywood Hills home. Felled by a single gunshot wound, Reeves (portrayed in Hollywoodland by Academy Award winner Ben Affleck) leaves behind a fiancée - aspiring starlet Leonore Lemmon (Robin Tunney) - and millions of fans who are shocked by his death. But it is his grieving mother, Helen Bessolo (Lois Smith), who will not let the questionable circumstances surrounding his demise go unaddressed. Helen seeks justice, or at least answers. The Los Angeles Police Department closes the case, but Helen hires - for $50 a day - private detective Louis Simo (Academy Award winner Adrien Brody). Simo soon ascertains that the torrid affair Reeves had with Toni Mannix (Academy Award nominee Diane Lane), the wife of MGM studio executive Eddie Mannix (Academy Award nominee Bob Hoskins), might hold the key to the truth. But truth and justice are not so easily found in Hollywood. Simo pursues dangerous and elusive leads in both high and low places and, in trying to turn up the heat, risks getting burned. The detective also uncovers unexpected connections to his own life as the case turns more personal and he learns more about Reeves himself. Behind the icon was a complex man who gave his life to Hollywood in more ways than one.

Skateboard Bearings

Like any contraption with wheels, skateboards have bearings too. Although considered a professional sport, manufacturing skateboards and their parts are still largely influenced by street culture. The bearings are the metal inside the wheels that bear all the weight of the person and the skateboard combined but also provide for maximum mobility. Good bearings are crucial for a good board.

Shopping for Skater Clothes

I hate shopping for clothes especially with my girl. She has to try on everything in her size in the whole mall. Me, I go up to a rack of clothes see what I like and then get the heck out of there and I still hate it. Now I'm waiting on her.

Why Every Kid Loves Skateboards

There are many things in life that I will never understand. The amount of things that I don't understand has increased significantly since I became a mother and began to watch my kid's choices and preferences as they got older. I couldn't understand why my daughter wanted to wear such an ugly shirt with pants that clearly didn't match it, and I definitely couldn't understand it when my junior high aged son came home wanting to get his ears pierced. Being a mother definitely adds mystery to my life. Up until recently, the fact that all kids seemed to love skateboards was a mystery to me.

Tips on Buying a Cat Bed

There are pros and cons for each bed that include the expense of the bed, whether the bed is difficult to clean and comfort level. The main focus ought to be that the bed and bedding is easy to clean. A number of beds like the radiator cradle can harbor fleas if not washed regularly.
