Waiting For Take Off

All action, all Mick Fanning. We start the Fanning The Fire collectocast with guns blazing, as Mick shreds everything in front of him and takes no names.

The Future of Surfing

Mick went from fun-loving super grom to the 'future of Australian surfing' in less than a few years when he was a youngster. In this chapter, the world's best give testimonies on Mick's surfing skills.

Super Grom

Did you know Mick Fanning grew up in Sydney's western suburbs as a youngster? Did you know that he only started surfing when his family relocated to Ballina on NSW's north coast?

Learn all of this and more about Mick's life roots in this third instalment of our 'Fanning The Fire' collectocast.

Mick and Sean

As brothers they were inseparable They shared a room and they shared a dream of turning pro together. Unfortunately, Sean's life was cut short after a tragic car accident in Coolangatta.

The Competive Scene

As a young adult, Mick built the best modern day competition record in Australian surfing history. He won everything from the Pro Junior at Narrabeen, to the Rip Curl Pro WCT at Bells Beach.

Session of a Lifetime

Despite all of the competitive milestones, one of Mick's biggest highlights was when a beaming swell hit the east coast of Australia and turned on several sessions of a lifetime.

There's plenty of sick action in this clip. Magazines right around the world labeled Mick's surfing during this swell the session of the year, as he scored barrel after barrel, and photo after published photo.

Surfing for the Love

Forget the hype, forget the results, forget the bullshit: put simply - Mick goes surfing for the love of it.

Plenty of sick action photography (and specifically water photography) of Mick ripping in this clip.

The Air Up There

All action clip! Take to the sky with Mick in a fighter jet above the Gold Coast and as he boosts airs along the Australia's Gold Coast.

It's a fitting final chapter to the 'Fanning The Fire' collectocast series.
